Cashcrate was one of those websites that I joined when I started out on the Internet. At first like every other sites, I thought this one will also not pay and lost interest very soon. Then came the payment and I got charged up. I did all the stuffs, easy surveys or free registration; I did everything that was free. Making money completing offers is the easiest way to make money online. I have been trying to find more sites like this, and infact I got some. Not all were genuine, some were scams too, but I got a few that paid and will blog about them in the future posts.
For making money at Cashcrate you will have to register for free and login. Then you will be taken to the member’s area. There you will find offers. Some will be free, some will require a credit card, and some offers will ask you to pay. It’s up to you to choose the offers you want to complete. Once you complete the required work, click on the done, next to the offer. And then it will be verified that you have completed or not, and paid accordingly.
You can also browse the cash back shopping area. There will find products that you can purchase. And next to the product the amount of cash back is displayed. I have seen 75% to full 100% cash back offers there, so you can even try that to shop for cheap or free. Keep working and keep making easy money.

For the last 5 to 6 months I was trying to get a photo of mine holding one of those checks that I used to get. Lately all my income was bank-transfers so I could not managed a check. Finally I got a check, not huge but then at least something to have a photo with. This is a Survey Savvy check. The money that I earn from this site is usually pennies, but I still love it.

Recently the web directory IDK got a review from blogger John Chow. We have interviewed the founder of IDK.in in a previous interview - Syed Balkhi. Later IDK also known as genuine paid directory was sold to a new owner. Am not too sure about the final price but was around the $20k mark. Ohh and yes, if you want know what Syed is doing these days, well he is blogging! Yep, here he is - Balkhis and he also giving some free stuffs too.
So, coming back to sponsored or paid blog review - is the blog reviews worth it? Am sure not many Internet marketers worry about the PR alone when they go for the reviews! The most important thing is the conversion, or in other words the ROI [return on investment]. Say, some online picture frames related website asks me to review their website, will the review help them to get some sales, I highly doubt that. But if the review was made on some blogs that are related to that niche, then the conversion can be expected. Thinking from another point of view, a general web directory which has all the categories of the internet can have any traffic, as they have all kinds of website to direct the traffic to.
So far I have read a few reviews of john chow, one was that of zorg links. I have also interviewed Mike the owner of Zorg links. Here is what he has to say about his john chow review,
“Its good but not as good. My alexa ranking went to 9000 the day of the review, which was pretty good, although I don’t fuss over alexa too much. Many other webmaster/seo blogs picked up the story so I gained many other back links as a result of the initial review.”
Another review was of a blog directory, a part of the popular web directory - Alive directory. Chris is the owner of this directory. Chow’s review about web directories are not all that impressive, and in that review he got confused about the directory category numbers and number of sites listed there. But anyways chow’s blog is popular among webmasters and with 16k+ feed subscriber, I guess a review from that blog is not all that a bad idea after all.
There are many paid posts websites, where advertisers pays money to the bloggers for making a blog post explaining their product or website. One such service is Pay Per Post. This is probably the most popular paid post review website. the site has some rules, so that means if you don’t have a good blog you won’t be accepted in the program. For getting into the program you need a decent blog with about 20+ posts in the last 90 days, so in other words your blog has to be 90 days old. Also the PR of your blog matters a bit too, so if you have a nice page rank, say PR3+ then you can easily get into the program.
Once you have a blog approved, then you can straight away go to the opportunities area, there you will find lots of open opportunities. Just select the qualified opportunity and the list will be sorted on the basis of the opportunities that are available for you. Just reserve an opportunity and make a post on it. Then submit the post. After that your post will be reviewed, and if you have made the post which follows all the rules then your post will be approved and you will be paid.
I have made some money out of pay per post so I know that this program is worth the time. Just follow the rules, make a site wide disclosure that says that your website takes paid posts. Once you post a paid post, follow it with a regular un-paid post and keep posting as much as you can. These posts also gives your site unique content, and the more you blog the more traffic you get.
If you have a new blog then first make 20 posts before applying to this program. In the coming days I will post more sites like this one that will increase your income source and you will make more money.
Bidvertiser is not like Adsense. It won’t read your content to display relevant ads. It is non-contextual like adbrite. So, bidvertiser will world good on niche sites, sites that are focused on a single topic.
I like some features of this ads network, which sometimes make me choose it over Adsense. Here are 3 such features am talking about:
- You can choose which ads to appear, simply don’t approve the low paying ads, and then all you will be left with is high paying ads. This means more money per click, and yes I have got 50+ cents clicks at times.
- It pays by Paypal. This is a huge benefit, as checks usually don’t reach me. There are other ways to receive payments also.
- The minimum payout is pretty less, so I don’t have to wait for ages to reach the minimum payment threshold like the other ads network.
So, here are my optimization tips for bidvertiser:
- Reject the low paying ads. No use to accept ads that pays pennies on clicks. Remember the default option is approve, so don’t forget to reject. Also reject the ads that dose not match your website’s theme.
- Use the squares and big rectangles, and keep your ads covered by content. Use the ads text color, boarder and background the same as the rest of your website. The ads should look like a part of your website.
- Some times bidvertiser dose not count all clicks, so if you see that happens, then email them instantly and get the problem fixed. This happened to me sometime back, but may be it is fixed already.

I have not taken part in any SEO contest till now. I do a little bit of SEO myself and am planning to launch my SEO services in 2008, so may be it’s a good time for me to jump into this SEO content. Though am a bit late to enter this contest, still I will try my best to get into it. I will not take a domain or make a sub-domain for this contest, lets see if my blog post can take me anywhere near the top for that keyword.
Am not entering this competition just for winning, I will try to gain some SEO skills, or simply test my SEO abilities with this contest. Also, I won’t do any paid optimizations for this contest; I will try to get into the rakings naturally. I have gone through the rules, and will follow them strictly. Am making a new post for this contest, that the primary rule.
This is the piece of code that I was asked to post here: UK Webmaster World SEO Contest
Anyways, looking foreword to the competition, hope the best expert win.
Tnx.net has brought a revolution in the field of buying and selling links. If you have a decent website, then making money from your website is not a problem any more. Have you ever though that how much money you are not making by keeping a quality website un-monitorised. Say your website is PR4, has 20 PR3 and 50 PR2 inner pages, if you sell out a site wide, think how many links you are giving away for free to that site wide link. With this ads network you can monetise all your high quality inner pages and make a hell lot of money.
For the publishers: Payment is by paypal, they also support other payment options. And the most important reason why this network looks so good to me is, they maintain secrecy, no user or website list is maintained; everything is automated, so the details don’t go out. This is surely one of the safest way to buy/sell links on the Internet. Tnx just takes 12.5% of the points from a transaction, which is a lot cheaper, hence more profitable for us.
As an advertiser, you must be knowing that buying single page links are more affective, rather than buying a site wide link which is not regarded highly by search engines. So, with tnx.net you can buy a lot of targeted inner pages, which are more effective for improving your SERPS on competitive keywords. Tnx is a smart way of advertising; it puts your link on pages with PR and traffic with the help of its complex algo that calculates the importance of a page. If a page dose not get any traffic or search crawlers don’t visit that page, then tnx dose not put ads on that page. That way an advertiser gets value for money, and it saves a lot of time too.
This site is a complete solution, for publishers and advertisers. Along with that, it also has a referral system. So if you are planning to promote such a great program then I suggest you to join the partner program of tnx and get your affiliate link. Read the rules of the affiliate program, and start making money by referring this ads network to others.
Tnx is a new system, and they keep bringing new ideas in the market. One such thing I noticed on their website was about the paid article posting. Am looking foreword to that one, am still guessing on what it can be, and the looks of it, am sure it’s going to be yet another success for this ads network and another way for making money for us.
If you require more information about this system, them please check out their website, read the faqs and the testimony pages. Am sure you will find this ads network helpful. Feel free to register on TNX and make the most out of your website.
Thanks TNX for helping search engines to find quality and related links and boost the index of popular and quality search engines. I strongly believe that these ads network will sure help these big search engines to find more quality sites and pages in the coming future.
Yahoo, the web’s biggest portal and a huge search engine had received an offer of 45 billion dollars. But will yahoo take the offer and sell out? Lets see what yahoo has to say about this. The last time we emailed yahoo as a small business publisher we got the following reply.
Here is the question that I asked yahoo:
hello,
am hearing all this rumors about microsoft, buying yahoo!! is this all correct, and if it is, then is it going to effect my account. I am having linux space, will Microsoft force me to buy windows space.
thanks for your answer,
regards,
uttoransen,
Then yahoo replied:
Hello Uttoran,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Web Hosting. There is nothing to the rumors that have been circulating recently about a merger with or purchase by Microsoft.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.
Regards,******
Yahoo! Customer Care
So, the last time it was very much clear that yahoo had no interest in the deal, but this time things have changed a lot. Google had taken an even greater share of Internet’s search and advertising business, and yahoo and msn are cornered by great margin. The best bet for yahoo and msn is to merge together and fight for their share of the net.
Benefits of the merger or overtake:
-
Yahoo has a YPN [Yahoo Publisher Network] : Right now the program is only for US residents, but once Microsoft takes yahoo, YPN might come out of beta and people from other countries can join the program.
-
Yahoo web hosting: This feature of yahoo, where we the webmasters host there sites on yahoo hosting, has serious limitations, like we can’t upload .htaccess etc. these limitations might be cured.
-
Yahoo is worlds biggest portal, with the most traffic! Msn can cash out on that traffic with their better ads network.
-
The buzz created by buying yahoo, will surely help msn.
Limitations:
-
Yahoo Search and msn search combined makes less than 20% of total internet’s searches. I don’t think even after joint experience, they could stand google’s domination over the search.
-
Adsense and adwords are already very popular, as far as advertising is considered, Google can’t be defeated there as well.
Anyways, all the buying/merging news or rumors are coming from the Microsoft’s end, Yahoo on it’s part is still silent on the matter. What will be yahoo’s stand on this, will yahoo really sell out this time!
Adbrite is not contextual like Adsense, so the click through rate is a bit low. The best option with adbrite is the full-page advertisement and the in-text advertisement. I have tested adbrite recently and got nice clicks from the in-text ads. Since my site is full of content so the in-text ads work good. The full-page ads are usually impression based, and my traffic is not that huge, so I did not make much with the full-page CPM ads.
So, to start with here are a few steps to maximize your adbrite earnings.
-
Un-check the auto-approve of ads, and don’t approve ads below 10 cents.
-
Give a nice description of your website, remember most of the advertisers you will catch from the adbrite market place.
-
Get the big rectangles, as that is the best performing ads for any network.
-
Put up as many tags as you can, in the keywords field. Use the dictionary if you run out of keywords.
-
Make the color of the ads text and background same as rest of your website.
-
If the ads are a banner, only approve the really high CPC ads, like 50 cents or more, and for CPM ads banner, choose max you can.
These basic steps will improve your earnings a lot. In the next post I will review bidvertiser.
