Royalty Free Images for use on Websites

If you own a web site finding images for it can be very difficult. First we must start with a serious warning.

Stealing Images is theft. If you do this you run the risk of having your website shut down without warning by your host or criminal proceedings started against you.

So when we need to brighten up websites where is a good source of free images? Wikipedia provides the answer to this. Wikipedia articles are contributed to by you and me and so are the images. Most people who contribute to this are happy for their images to be used elsewhere. Search Wikipedia for the images you want, or search http://commons.wikimedia.org/ then view the copyright information to see if you can use the picture. The chances are you can, and there are almost three million to choose from. Allowing you to legally add images to your website free of charge.

10 Reasons why Google is Not so Good

Google is not so good after all!! Here are a few reasons why!

  1. For most of the searches wikipedia comes on top of the search results! Then why not go to wiki pedia directly rather than wasting my time on Google search.

  2. You tube results: When a web search is made and not a video search then it is quite certain the person searching dose not wants to see video results. If he wanted you tube results then he can directly go to you tube or simply search the Google video search. This is pain stupid to show videos in web search.

  3. Cashing contents like text, videos and images from websites without site owners written consent. But then Webmaster and bloggers, all including myself love to see Google cache all the datas from our site. We are more than happy and thankful. But we became extremely angry when we see our copyrighted things cached from our competitors sites which are illegally copied by our competitors from our website. I think it’s also illegal to cache illegally copied content.

  4. Paid links: How are paid link bad and a non-paid link good. Every link should be treated on merit and not on the basis of paid and non-paid.

  5. Too much importance on domain names: Rather than giving importance on the quality of the information, the importance is given to the relevancy of domain name and Meta description and title tags.

  6. Stupid PR that dose not make any sense: The PR [page rank] is a useless way to rank sites, I don’t want pr, but the problem is PR n/a means am banned, and PR0 means less promoted site or new site. At least that’s how most people look at it. Removing the visual PR will solve many problems.

  7. Google groups: The interface and working is really poor, with deep enough pockets if they can’t improve there discussion rooms then it is really sad.

  8. Google dose not owns the results that it shows in the SERPS, so in other words the poor webmasters have made Google so huge, and the SEO companies who have helped Google and it’s bots to crawl those sites in a more efficient way.

  9. Adsense: A great way to make money, but has no answers to click bombs.

  10. Indexing sites without consent. 99% of the webmasters including me, wants to be in google’s index, but there are still some that don’t want Google to crawl their sites. So why don’t Google ask people to upload a file that says Google crawl, and if that site is not available on the site, don’t index the site. It is better than asking webmasters to stop Google bot! I mean only index sites on invitation.

New Features of Paypal makes Indian Users Happy

bank withdraw of paypal completed

A few days back paypal introduced some new features, which are going to benefit the Indian paypal users hugely. First I saw the transfer to card feature, where you can get your money to your credit card by paypal. That’s a good way to check out. I was actually planning to test that out, but then in a few days time, the transfer to your bank account feature was launched, where you can withdraw money to some of the Indian banks.

For the bank transfer, we have to put our bank’s IFSC code. For the SBI bank, the IFSC code starts with SBIN00 this part of the code is fixed, after that there will be a 5-digit bank code. If the bank code is not of 5 digit then make it 5 digits by adding zeros in the beginning, e.g. if your SBI bank branch’s code is XXX then your bank’s IFSC number will be, SBIN0000XXX. Easy!

I have made the transfer on Thursday 1st of November, at about 10 pm in the night. The transaction is shown completed in the paypal records on 2nd November that was fast, just 24 hours. On Saturday I updated my bank’s passbook but the transaction is not yet recorded, and the money has not yet reached my bank account. I am not going to check it on Sunday, I will make another update on Sunday and see if the money is processed. I will update this post on Monday; hopefully I will get the money till then. Unfortunately, I have also made a check withdraw some 23 days back, and am still waiting for the check.

paypal limits changed

Also the limits have been raised, now an Indian paypal user can withdraw $20,000 a month at maximum, which is quite huge. If everything goes on smoothly, I don’t think paypal users of India will have any more complains.

Update: Just checked that the funds is already transfered in my account. The transfer was already made yesterday, 5th november, but i did’nt checked yesterday. Anyways i got the money in 5 days time, including saturday and sunday, so over all, the speed of the transfer is pretty quick. Total 3755.42 was credit, without any fees. Though the Rs 50 fees that paypal took was only because i withdraw funds less than Rs 7000, so if you withdraw money more than 7000 then no fees will be involved. Thank you paypal!

Paypal alternative for sending and receiving money online

Paypal is a great payment processors, it is accepted world wide without a doubt. Though it has some limitations, like the identification. Paypal don’t offer address verification option. For verifying a paypal account you need a credit card. Most people don’t have a credit card, so they can’t verify there account. Then some of them try to cheat the system by vcc, which is not exactly allowed. There are many other problems with paypal. Paypal service is not available to all the countries of the world. Also in most countries paypal don’t offer bank transfer, then the only option to receive the money is by check. Check takes a long time to come and sometimes it gets lost as well.

Though paypal is highly recommended, and in case you don’t have a paypal account, click here to get one for free.

Now lets come to the alternative of paypal. Most of you already know this, yes am talking about money bookers. Money bookers is free to join, if you don’t have a money bookers account yet, get one for free now. Money bookers is available to a lot of countries so it has a great edge over paypal. Money bookers also provides bank transfer, for this, you will have to know the swift code of your bank, which your bank officials will tell you. Just enter the swift code and money bookers will transfer the funds to your account. This is one of the easiest ways to get your money to reach you.

The biggest advantage of money bookers is, you don’t need a credit card, you start with a withdraw limit of $1500 for a 3 months duration. This is not too big, but then a free address verification can lift your limit to $5000 for a 3 months period. This limit is enough, and can work good for small online business men. Though there is further scope of increment, if you give your credit card, but then for me this amount is enough. For address verification a letter from money bookers is issued, in the letter you get a secret code, once that code is entered, the address is verified. It took me about 25 days, for the letter to reach me, and about a second to enter it and get verified.

A community that helps you to make money on Internet.

Ever heard of name points. Name pros is an online forum where you earn name bucks. It is free to join. It will take your account 2 months to get activated for the name points. After that, posts that you make will give you a few name bucks. You can browse for sites, in the namepros npclicks area and get a few name points per site browsed. Also you can use this to get traffic to your site.

You can also donate your name bucks to any member of the website. Name bucks can be converted to paypal dollars. Basically these name points are used to buy or sell domains at name points. That is why it is also called domain credit.

They also have a chat feature, and there are not too many people at the chat. So you can have a decent chat in the chat room. Usually the lobby is used for chat, as you can have a general and informal discussion there.

Once you get registered and verify your email id, I suggest you to read the faq and the rules of the forum. Usually people of namepros are a bit strict, so a small mistake can get you banned and it will be all over for you. The good thing is that you can have a few live links as your signature. You also have the permission of selling your signature links to gain some money.

Though np and domain credit are two different things, and you will be earning np by surfing the sites etc, and earn domain credit after being 60 days old member of the forum. For the good posts the forum gives domain credit, that can help you in buying domains from name pros.
